“A Knowledge of His Truth”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Here Alma associates repentance with obtaining a knowledge of the truths of God. Such knowledge is acquired only by those who traverse the paths of righteousness. Only those who “walk in ... the ordinances of the Lord” (D&C 136:4) have the promise that they will “find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures” (D&C 89:18-19).
