“Ye Shall Not Esteem One Flesh Above Another”

Speaking by the spirit of revelation, Alma announces the verity that God is no respecter of persons. All who reverence God and seek to do that which is right are acceptable to him. (See Acts 10:34-35.) To those of our day the Lord said: “Let every man esteem his brother as himself, and practice virtue and holiness before me” (D&C 38:24). Righteous kings sought to serve their people, whereas the unrighteous kings sought to be served by them.
