“Beloved by His People”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Alma was beloved by all his people. His gentle ways, his self abnegation, and above all, his firm resolve to serve God, made him a ruler and a judge who stood above all the others. Consequently, the people wanted him to assume the title of king, the duties of such office he had already so disinterestedly fulfilled.
