“Even a Very Beautiful and Pleasant Land”

W. Cleon Skousen

Now that Mormon the historian has incorporated the plates of Zeniff into the Nephite history, he wants to tell us what happened to Alma and his congregation of fugitive Christians.

To have escaped from king Noah and his army was a great achievement, but to be able to take this entire congregation and all of their flocks and provisions into the wilderness for eight days of continuous flight was truly phenomenal. Apparently Alma felt secure after eight days of travel and so he had his people unpack and prepare to set up a new home.
