In addition to the obvious sorrow of losing husbands, brothers, and sons, the Limhites experienced “great fear of the Lamanites.” No doubt they already feared Lamanite might, but the great defeat had given them new cause for terror. Always before they had been victorious, even with smaller numbers. Now they were clearly vulnerable.
