One of the Nephite cities the Lamanites had taken over after Mosiah took the more righteous Nephites up north and discovered Zarahemla was a city named Shemlon. This is where our story continues.
We learn from verse 5 that the number of girls was 24. A portrayal of the Lamanite dancing girls will be found in volume two of Treasures from the Book of Mormon on page 116.
