“Every Day They Should Give Thanks”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The plan of the great Jehovah is that his people become a holy nation, a kingdom of priests. Holiness is a product of righteous living on all days and at all times, not simply the result of six days of secularity and one day of sacredness. True it is that the Saints are asked to pay their devotions to the Most High on the Sabbath; “nevertheless,” the Lord of the Sabbath has instructed, “thy vows shall be offered up in righteousness on all days and at all times” (D&C 59:11; see also D&C 59:21).
