The disciple of Christ agrees by covenant to extend a comforting hand, a comforting word, a message of solace and assurance, to those who are burdened with a load of care. Like Simon of Cyrene, true Christians rush to offer assistance to their brothers and sisters in bearing the crosses of this world. “Therefore, strengthen your brethren in all your conversations, in all your prayers, in all your exhortations, and in all your doings” (D&C 108:7).
