Abinadi “sealed the truth of his words by his death” (see also Hebrews 9:16). He died seemingly without baptisms, but he did have one convert (Mosiah 18:1). That one convert’s baptism would lead to many generations of great leaders: Alma—Alma II—Helaman—Helaman II—Nephi—Nephi II (chief disciple of the resurrected Savior). Also, for the first time in ancient America’s history, thousands of Lamanites would be converted and led by their own prophets. The Savior was later greeted by worthy descendants of every branch of Lehi’s family, all as a result of Abinadi’s testimony!
