Alma hid from his pursuers, and during the many days that his presence was unknown to the guards of King Noah, he wrote down all the words he had heard Abinadi speak. The words of this holy prophet, as they are recorded by Alma, form one of the most important parts of the doctrinal portions of the Book of Mormon. They testify of the Messiah, Christ, the only Redeemer; of His Resurrection, and the Day of Judgment.
