“He Was a Young Man”
There is a spiritual reflex, a spiritual innocence, a spiritual integrity found in youth which the careless passing of years dulls. Saul of Tarsus was also described as a “young man” (Acts 7:58). Alma was about twenty-five years old at this time (we later learn that Alma died at the age of 82 years; his death took place in approximately 91 B.C.-see Mosiah 29:45).
