“The Law of Moses”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

As Abinadi concludes his testimony to the priests of King Noah-having taught such glorious doctrines as the condescension of God, the ministry of Christ as Father and Son, the reality of the resurrection and the doctrine of redemption from the Fall- he now attests that these matters, with all doctrines of salvation, center in the person and powers of Jesus Christ. No saving doctrine-the law of Moses included-can be properly taught or understood independent of the testimony of the Lord of Life. It matters not how well the farmer cultivates, nourishes, and tends his field, if he has forgotten to plant his seed. See Mosiah 12:27-28.
