But while Zion is enjoying peace and joyful living, those who rejected the gospel and turned themselves over to Satan will be allocated to a very severe judgment. After they are destroyed in the flesh an angel later showed to Alma that they are allocated to a "state of darkness, and a state of awful fearful looking for the fiery indignation of the wrath of God upon them."1 Then Abinadi describes why they find themselves in such horrible circumstances.
