Abinadi had already established the idea that the seed of Christ are those spiritually begotten of him as the Father of their eternal lives (vv. 10–13). He now states that these same servants are the publishers of peace and how beautiful upon the mountains were their feet and the feet of those who are now and who will yet publish peace. True peace comes only from the gospel, so those who travel (upon their feet) to preach the gospel upon the mountains of the earth are beautiful in the eyes of the people who accept their message (vv. 14–17).
