“The Holy Prophets”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

A prophet is one who has the testimony of Jesus, one who knows by the spirit of prophecy and revelation that Jesus is Lord and that salvation is in Him. It is but axiomatic that such persons-especially those called and ordained by divine authority to speak in behalf of Deity-would be foremost among the vast family of Christ, a significant part of “his seed.” Indeed, in the broadest sense, one must be a prophet or prophetess-must have the witness of the Spirit as to our Lord’s divine sonship-to be numbered among the seed of Christ.
