“Doth Salvation Come by the Law of Moses?”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Abinadi again pronounces evil against the wrongdoers, and warns them that to say the Law of Moses is given as a guide, and then not to teach its observance, is only compounding iniquity. If man refuses to walk in the way of his guide, no matter who he is, for him to advise others is wicked foolishness. They may do as he does. "All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies." (Ps. 25:10) The Lord gave the Law of Moses to guide the humble in justice and to teach them His way. But Abinadi says that only by obedience to all its requirements, its statutes and judgments, can their salvation come. "What say ye?"
