“Behold We Have Brought a Man Before Thee”

The scene of Abinadi before Noah’s council parallels Jesus before the Jewish Sanhedrin and the Roman governor: “Behold, here is the man” (compare John 19:5). “And they began to question him, that they might cross him, … [and] accuse him” (compare Matthew 26:59; Luke 23:2; John 18:29). Abinadi answered boldly and “did withstand them in all their questions, and did confound them in all their words.”
