“I Am the Lord Their God and Am a Jealous God”

God’s jealousy is but a manifestation of the reality that there is no proper compromise where the verities of heaven are concerned. Man cannot serve two masters; he cannot give allegiance to rival kingdoms; he cannot be both an Israelite and a Philistine. The jealousy of God is a manifestation of his desire to save all his children.
