“Changed the Affairs of the Kingdom”

A telling line in verse 4 is that Noah “changed the affairs of the kingdom.” That is, the people of Lehi-Nephi no longer walked the lighted path of goodness but chose instead to follow a dark and crooked road. They were now taxed to pay for Noah to sin, and would yet pay for his sins.
