It is obvious that as far as Zeniff and the Nephites were concerned this was all out war. The women and children were all hidden in the wilderness while all of the men were set up in ranks, ready to fight, even the old men, including Zeniff. We also have the highly significant statement that they went forth in the strength of the Lord. Now the record of Zeniff has some interesting comments about the Lamanites and their excuse for killing the Nephites.
