This is not a reference to the kingdom of God but rather to the community being reestablished in the land of Lehi-Nephi by Zeniff.
“Inherit the Land”
We would be more inclined to say that they “possessed” the land rather than inherited it. There is a spiritual connotation associated with a people inheriting a land that is missing here.
