The building of buildings and repairing of the walls of the city suggests that Zeniff and his people were given poorer lands and towns rather than a thriving one. The industry of the Zeniffites would eventually allow them to accumulate wealth and go on a great building spree under Noah, but at this point in time they would have more humble beginnings in their new land.
