It must have cheered Zeniff's soul to see how friendly the Lamanites were when Zeniff and four of his cohorts proposed to the Lamanites that they retire from most of this land surrounding Lehi-Nephi and let this new body of Nephites take over the cities of Shilom and Lehi-Nephi. It was their intention to get the farms back into shape and repair the buildings that had been allowed to fall into decay.
