Like the passage quoted in verse twenty-nine, we do not find these words in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, a similar meaning is conveyed in Hosea 8:7:
For they [Israel] have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal.
also,
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. (Job 4:8)
