“I Will Not Succor My People in the Day of Their Transgression”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

The Lord says he will not help us if we are intentionally sinning; in fact, he will hedge up our way—put obstacles in our way—so that we do not succeed (see also Joshua 24:20; 1 Samuel 12:15). He is serious about our being obedient. “I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise” (D&C 82:10).
