“A Prophet of the Lord They Have Slain”
The prophet referred to here is Abinadi, a great Nephite prophet whom the Lord raised up to declare repentance among the wicked people of King Noah. He was burned to death in the city of Nephi about 150 b.c. (see Mosiah 17:12-20).
