: Behold, I am Limhi...Ye are permitted to speak. King Limhi disclosed his identity to Ammon and his brethren, proving himself to be king, the son of Noah, and the grandson of Zeniff, who, himself, had been made king by the voice of the people. He asked Ammon why he had been so bold, so foolhardy, and so rash, as to approach the defended city when he knew it was the custom to slay anyone who, without apparent reason, happened to do so. Ammon's life and the lives of his companions were solely in the hands of the king.
