“How Knoweth a Man the Master Whom He Has Not Served”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

We come to know the Lord through serving the Lord. And we serve the Lord by serving others. Through living as he lived through acts of kindness, deeds of service, and thus through obedience and works of righteousness-we come to think and act as our Master would: we come to know him. “Hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ” (1 John 2:3-4.)
