Benjamin declares that he has finished with the words of the angel – given as commanded of God for Benjamin and his people. At the end of this part of the discourse, Benjamin is reiterating the sacred nature of the text he has delivered. Verse 24 seals the final effect of this sermon. Verse 22 indicated that the people were “no more blameless” and now Benjamin concludes that this occasion, this sermon, this angelic text, has now placed them in a condition where “they shall be judged, every man according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil.” The hearing of the word has placed them under the power of the Word.
