“Only in and Through the Name of Christ”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Salvation centers in Christ. If he had not ransomed men from the effects of the Fall, there would be no resurrection, no judgment, no celestial kingdom, no salvation of any kind. Had it not been for his atoning sacrifice, all mankind would have been lost forever both temporally and spiritually; even the most virtuous of persons would know nothing save an eternal damnation. (See 2 Nephi 9:6-9; cf. Acts 4:12.)
