“A Stiffnecked People”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The Lord can give only that which people are willing to receive. The law of Moses was a lesser law given to a people who refused anything more. Similarly, in our day those who profess to accept the Bible while rejecting the words of living prophets have but a fragment of the understanding that would be theirs were they not also a stiffnecked people.
