“I Tell You...that you may learn wisdom”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

In King Solomon's Book of the Proverbs we read, "The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom." That means wisdom is in doing His Will; it lies in serving God. Whether it is in the home, in the schoolroom, out in the open spaces, or elsewhere, our service to God, manifest in the aid we render to our fellows, adds to the total of wisdom with which we eventually will be crowned.

"Love one another," was the cardinal principle that permeated the entire mission of our Savior. "God so loved the world ..." is the reason for man's redemption. King Benjamin was truly conscious that God is the loving Father of all men; he taught his people, "When you are in the service of your fellow beings ye are in the service of your God!" The Lord is the strength of all who serve Him, and the praise of them that love to do His will. Herein is wisdom. "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that obtaineth understanding."
