“I Have Only Been in the Service of God”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
We serve God by serving each other. Of acts of goodness and kindness the Savior said, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Conversely, “inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” (Matthew 25:40, 45.)

“For I Have Only Been in the Service of God”

To stain our clothes and soil our hands in the service of others is but to cleanse our own souls. We are sanctified through properly serving others. The world would be a poorer place indeed had Christ and his prophets sought to sequester themselves in secluded monasteries rather than lose themselves in the service of their fellowman.
