In the context of the old Testament, prophets, priests, and kings were intended to be types and shadows of what Christ the great Prophet, Priest, and King would be. So it was with Benjamin; as a righteous king and as a prophet he was a living prophecy of what their Messiah and King would be. Benjamin’s life was spent protecting and serving his people. In return he asked nothing but that they love God and keep his commandments.
