“King Benjamin Was a Holy Man”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
A holy man is a man who prizes the things of the Spirit above all else. He is one who has garnered control over passions and appetites, one who has achieved the victory over self. He is, in addition, one who enjoys communion with the powers of heaven. He is one who is sanctified, who is clean and free from the blood and sins of his generation, one for whom the allurements of Babylon and the enticements of Idumea are abhorrent. He is one who finds joy in simple living and rejoices in goodness and truth.
