“False Prophets”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
False prophets are “teachers and preachers who profess to speak for the Lord when, in fact, they have received no such appointment. They are ministers of religion who have not been called of God as was Aaron. They may suppose-often sincerely and with pious devoutness-that it is their right to tell others what they must do to be saved when, in fact, they have received no such commission from on high.” (Millennial Messiah, p. 70.)
