If the laws under King Benjamin were like those established by his son Mosiah, there was no law against a man’s belief (even false beliefs -see Alma 1:17; Alma 30:7), no crime committed in the perpetuation of error, except as these heresies resulted in a defiance or transgression of the legal code.
