Abinadom is the next in line among the seven transitional record keepers between the time of Jacob and the reign of King Benjamin (around 130 b.c.). Abinadom’s contribution to the record consists of just two verses, which inform us of the wars and contentions of his day (he being an active defender of the people) and of the fact that he is aware of no revelation or prophecy beyond that which is already written.
