“People of Nephi Did Seek Diligently”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Under his leadership, the Nephites sought diligently to make peace with the Lamanites, but, seemingly, in vain. In the almost ceaseless efforts to restore the Lamanites "unto the true faith in God" the Nephites must again have, as in the days of Jacob, established missionary work among them. Again all attempts to reclaim them failed, but instead they sank deeper into their savage ways, as is attested time and time again by those who refuse to serve the Lord; they become low and carnal and mean in their ways of life.
