“The Joy of the Saints”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Joy is the fruit one plucks from the tree of life. It matters not the age or the people; if they live gospel principles theirs will be the spirit of rejoicing. “And whoso is found a faithful, a just, and a wise steward shall enter into the joy of his Lord, and shall inherit eternal life” (D&C 51:19). So fully is the concept of joy associated with the plan of salvation that the crown of eternal life is referred to as the crown of joy (see D&C 52:43).
