“Jacobs Interpretation”

Monte S. Nyman

Jacob’s commentary on the allegory (Jacob 6) is brief, but appropriate. After bearing testimony of the surety that the allegory will be fulfilled, he speaks of the blessedness of the servants of the Lord and the mercy of God in remembering the house of Israel, both the roots (those scattered among the Gentiles) and the branches (those planted in the nethermost parts of his vineyard). He concluded with a personal admonition to the reader.
