“Blessed Art Thou”

Brant Gardner

The Lord rejoices in the success of the vineyard. At the end, God will rejoice as his purposes for the earth are fulfilled. Significantly, those who have labored to bring about these purposes will share in the joy of the harvest. This verse foreshadows the same sentiment found in Doctrine and Covenants 18:15: “And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!”
