“Counsel Me Not I Knew That It Was a Poor Spot”

W. Cleon Skousen

However, the servant was puzzled that his master would risk putting a transplant in this particular place because it was the poorest spot in all of the land belonging to the master's vineyard. The master said, "Counsel me not." He said he was perfectly aware that it was a poor place and that is why he had nourished this transplant a "long time." The important thing was that it had produced good fruit. We are not certain which group of Israelites the first transplant might have been. However, the lost ten tribes had been transplanted somewhere a "long" time. It may have referred to them.
