“They Will Reject the Stone Upon Which They Might Build”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Tradition holds that at the time of the construction of the second temple, the builders rejected and discarded a chief cornerstone by mistake (see Psalms 118:22; Isaiah 8:14-15; JST, Matthew 21:47-56). Likewise, the Jews-and all men and women who turn a deaf ear to the message or messengers of Jesus Christ-shatter the very foundation upon which they might have built their house of faith (see Helaman 5:12).
