“Faith and a Good Hope”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

These poetic words of Jacob resonate within the soul of the earnest seeker of truth. Just as Jacob engraves these words on the plates of gold, we, too, can engrave them in our hearts. As we search the scriptures and the words of the living prophets, we receive inspiration and revelation through which we obtain hope. Our faith becomes firm in that we can do many things in our weakness through the grace of God—and all His works are done through faith by the power of His word (see also Mormon 9:17; Moses 1:32).
