“He Counseleth in Wisdom and in Justice, and in Great Mercy, Over All His Works”

W. Cleon Skousen

Jacob then emphasizes what we have already discussed, namely, that by merely speaking to the organized intelligences in matter, God is able to command and then "watch" until he is "obeyed."3 Jacob commented on what a marvelous and amazing thing this was that God could bring into being great organized systems merely by the power of his word.

Jacob said that in view of all this, puny man should not try to counsel God as to what is best, but seek counsel from God. Human experience teaches us that God has always counseled that which is wise and just and merciful.
