Jacob explained that the plates he was writing upon were the plates of Jacob which had previously been made by the hands of Nephi. Apparently he was trying to tell us that he was writing his plates or the Book of Jacob upon the smaller set of plates which Nephi had prepared. Jacob said that he would make an end of speaking or writing at that time, apparently intending to take up this task later on.
