To revile is to despise, to regard as vile, or to physically or verbally abuse, all of which are alien to the Spirit of God. we have been expressly commanded to “[revile] not against revilers” (D&C 19:30; compare Jude 1:9), [or by so doing we partake of the spirit of darkness.
