“Their Husbands Love Their Wives, and Their Wives Love Their Husbands”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The Lamanites cultivate love in their families. They are burdened with unbelief and hatred toward the Nephites primarily because of the traditions of their Lamanite fathers.

Nothing is needed more than to give and receive love—the ultimate concern that brings about righteous service. Everything our Heavenly Father and our Savior do is motivated by love (see John 3:16; 2 Nephi 26:24). If we are selfless and think of our companions and families first, we will be happy. There is no worse feeling than that of being unloved. It is important to express love in word and deed. We must strive to have love, and expressions of love must become the watchwords of our homes. Is love nurtured in our marriages and families?
