“Look Unto God”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The Saints in all ages have been encouraged to “look to God and live” (Alma 37:47), to rivet their attention and focus their affections upon him whose they are. The pure in heart are eager to acknowledge the hand of God in all that is good in their lives; to call upon his holy name in times of joy and rejoicing and to supplicate him in days of trouble and despair; and to feel after him and seek his face at all times and in all places. Their eyes are single to his glory and they thereby walk in that kindly light which leads the pure in heart through the mists of darkness and doubt.
